Compared to traditional CAT.6A cables, Slim Patch Cable has a finer wire diameter. Usually, regular CAT.6A cables use 24AWG wire gauges, while Slim CAT.6A cables generally use 28AWG wire gauges, which means that the diameter of Slim CAT.6A cables is significantly smaller than that of regular CAT.6A cables. The outer diameter of Slim CAT.6A cables is about 3.8mm, while the outer diameter of regular CAT.6A cables is about 6.1mm, almost reducing the size by 40%.
